Biography

Masayuki Adachi, Ph.D. is President & COO of HORIBA, Ltd, Kyoto, Japan. HORIBA is a leading global
manufacturer of analytical instruments. Dr. Adachi has dedicated in the research and development of automotive test systems for nearly thirty years. His expertise has led to the development of HORIBA’s emission gas analyzers with novel tech-nologies. He is now taking a managing position of the company as well as leading the R&D of entire HORIBA group companies. During his career at HORIBA, he also studied at University of California, Irvine and earned his Doctorate Degree from Doshisha University, Kyoto in 1999. He was appointed SAE Fellow in the year of 2014.
