When we air quilts, it is ideal to take the quilts to an open space outdoors, but people living in apartments in urban spaces do not have this condition. So, we designed a machine to solve the problem.
(a)Lift the quilt out of the balcony while the machine itself is indoor.
(b)Turn the quilt up-side-down without withdrawing.
(c)Fine the controlling if possible.
(d)Manufacture a 1:5 scale model
(a)We have modeled the product and contruscted a force analysis to verify its feasibility.
(b)The real model is able to function well.
(c)We designed a special sequence of the timing wheels motion to recude friction in quilt turning, which also smooth the whole motion.
(d)We used a worm gear and several tension springs to form a segmented force system to motivate a four-bar mechanism for quilt lifting.
