The ME-SJTU Delegation won four A's (discharge, CO2, noise reduction and steering stability) among six competition evaluation index in the 10th Challenge Bibendum, as the only team from China.
The 10th Challenge Bibendum kicked off in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on May 31 with the eco competition ending on June 3. The president of Brazil Lula took the floor underscoring the theme of rally this year: Rallying together towards Sustainable Road Mobility.
The Rally includes acceleration, noise and handling tests, with the aim of demonstrating the low “well to wheel” carbon emissions for vehicles that use alternative fuels, such as ethanol made from sugar cane, as well as electric vehicles. Around 4,500 participants joined the competition with nearly 150 vehicles entering in the 10th Michelin Challenge Bibendum.
